Baptism Sacraments

Parishioners, who want to have their children baptised in our parish are asked to attend a Baptismal course. Parishioners are those who come regularly to the sacraments in this parish. The next course will be in May. For more information or to book a baptism, please contact Fr. Perry or Fr Hector.

Pre-Communion Class Registration:   
If you have a child in a non– catholic school, and wish them to be prepared for the First Holy Communion here in the parish, they MUST attend the catechism class for one year prior. Holy Communion usually takes place in Year 3.
Pre-communion classes are for those in Year 2 from September ‘08. To register for a place, come to the Parish centre on Wednesday , 25th June 5pm-6.30pm or Wednesday 2nd July 4.30pm-6pm. No appointment necessary. Please use the entrance next to 16 Abingdon Road.

First Holy Communion  Registration:   If you have a child who will be in Year 3 from Sept’08 and wish to register for the Parish 1st Holy Communion Programme, come to the Parish centre on Wednesday 25th June , 5pm– 6.30pm or Wednesday 2nd July at 4.30pm-6pm. We would ask you to bring a copy of your child’s Baptism Certificate. In order to register for the programme, Our Lady of Victories must be your regular place of  worship.

Confirmation  ’08
Registration for confirmation begins after half term holiday.

• Applicants should be in Year 9 or above at present.
• Attend weekly Sunday Mass here at Our Lady of Victories.
• Applicants should come for registration with a parent and bring a copy of their Baptismal Certificate.
• Please ring the Parish Office  (Monday—Friday, 10am –1pm) on
• 7937 4778 and arrange a time to meet with Fr Perry.
• Closing date for applications is the 26th November 2007
  
  For those parishioners who did not have the opportunity to receive the
  Sacrament of Confirmation when they were younger, we are going to have some preparation to be confirmed in the faith in June this Year. The sessions will be on Saturday April 12th and 26th and May 3rd from 2.30pm to 4.30pm .
  
  

Marriage

If you are planning to get married in 2008 either here or abroad, can you please register with Fr. Perry or Fr. Hector. You need to give at least 6 months’ notice so that marriage preparation and all the paperwork can be completed.

RCIA - The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

This is a course for adults seeking Baptism or who are already baptized and wish to become Catholics through Reception and Confirmation. 

Sacrament of the Sick

This Sacrament is celebrated on request.
